For twenty six dollars and a trip to Miami (drum roll please) what is the blob in the picture?
Answer- Yes, you there in the back...Right! A mature bald eagle in a blanket on the floor of my truck! You got it on the first guess!
I got a call Friday the 17th (to be known as national Everyone Falls Apart day from now on...more on that later) and picked up an eagle with an injured wing, here on Guemes Island

February flood on Guemes

A combination of high tide, strong wind and storm surge brought flooding to low areas of our Island last Saturday, Feb 4. The Resort area flooded for the first time in living memory, badly damaging several cabins.
Ike got out and snapped a few photos...
Two of the pictures show the road beside the ferry dock covered with debris, the others show Cook's cove minus all the boats that are usually stored there.
